To manage the sale of an online testing software solution to mid to large corporate and public organisations.

The Test Factory is an ambitious software business, providing an innovative and market leading ‘Online Test’ platform to blue chip corporate and public clients.  The online ‘On Demand’ application has been built by Microsoft developers, to enable clients to create, issue, take, mark and review online tests, without any technical skills.


Online testing is a rapidly growing market, increasingly used in many sectors such as recruitment, training, accreditation, compliance and education.  Our innovative application was developed out of a real need at Microsoft – to screen technical candidates prior to interviews; but its potential deployment and opportunities are far more wide ranging including recruitment, education, e-learning, training, accreditation and assessment.

The Role

You will be responsible for introducing, presenting and beginning successful long-term relationships with mid to large corporate and public clients.  Our business model is based on providing our ‘On Demand’ solution and service for a recurring monthly or annual fee. This role covers the whole sales cycle from introduction to contract. 


You will identify and contact appropriate prospects within a wide range of sectors, provide tailored presentations, demonstrations and proposals, usually in person although occasionally online.  Whilst leads and appointments will be available for you through our internal executive (telesales), marketing events/exhibitions and online activity, you will possess the ability to generate your own business and treat the rest as a bonus that ensures you over achieve.


As a growing business, the substantial prospect database is abundant for a business offering a new, unique and innovative solution to the market.  Targets are realistic and enable the best to outperform, but will be critical to the success of the business and its future plans.


The nature of the role will require a reasonable amount of travelling (although the company is committed to public travel when advantageous) and some time spent away from home to minimise travel.  Initially this will be across the UK, but with opportunities for European travel and beyond in the near future.

Your Profile

For this role, you must be a self-starter, who loves a challenge, is driven to succeed and is perhaps most importantly a team player.  Whilst an appreciation of technology and its benefits are important, technical skills, above online aptitude, is not.  In fact, it is critical that you can sell to non-technical users and portray the simplicity and benefits of The Test Factory.


You will have:

•    A proven and demonstrable track record of sales accomplishments in the delivery of financial goals and objectives.

•    Relevant experience developing business from contact to contract.

•    Strong process management and communication skills.

•    Ability to fit in well to a small team and contribute to the well-being and achievements of colleagues.

•    Ability to establish credibility with prospects at all levels within blue-chip organisations

•    Experience within the technology, software or digital industry, or selling to the HR sector would be an advantage

Relationships

All members of an ambitious start up business including other Business Development Consultants and members of the Business Development team (Telesales and Direct Sales), Support Executives, Technical team, Managing Director and Investors.

 

Main Duties

•    Create minimum revenue of £2,500 in one-off fees and £2,500 monthly recurring revenue per month

•    Manage the entire sales cycle from identifying prospects to handover to support team

•    Identify lucrative markets and companies to prospect

•    Manage the canvassing of prospective clients through events, phone and email to create interest in the product and arrange online demonstrations and presentations

•    Attend meetings arranged by Business Development Executives

•    Prepare and deliver high quality tailored presentations, letters, emails and proposals to convert prospective clients to customers based on their needs and circumstance

•    Identify and pursue opportunities for the sale of additional services to clients, including training, managed tests, branding, white-label versions etc

•    Prepare handover documentation to Support teams following sales and ensure a successful handover

•    Ensure effective use of our CRM system to maintain complete customer records and sales history

•    Assume responsibility for the provision of accurate and timely invoicing information for billing purposes

•    Make a meaningful contribution to a vibrant team and business

•    Undertake additional duties as requested
